The 16 week plan is devised to help riders train for a single long distance event similar to Mallorca 312 or Etape.
It uses heart rate and power based structured workouts and works best with a combination of indoor and outdoor training sessions.
The main focus is to improve aerobic capacity to enable riding for a number of hours and succesfully complete a challenging event.
Each week has a specific focus with notes and tips on preparation, mental resilience as well as regular sessions to create event specific scenarios to test nutrition and pacing startegies.
The plan has ben crafted based on coaching a ange of atheletes completing similar long distance events and the demands of the event.
The Endurance Habit - We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit. Doing the right things on a regular basis, without a pause for thought, so they become a way of life.
One of the key components for endurance training is building consistency, regular sessions repetaed over a period of time help develop the building blocks for physical and mental health that enable you to execute your event/race plans.
