Plan Description

This plan is a 4-week, high volume and intense training to improve the end of race performance. A good sprint is not worth anything if it cannot be done at the end of a race. This plan also includes a before and after fatigue profile test. Although this test is great to determine improvement, it will also give the athlete a great perspective on strengths and weaknesses. A solid understanding of your fatigue profile will give you an understanding of how to finish a race...wait for the final 50 meters, go with 150 meters left, or take off at the end for a 1:00 solo break. This plan focuses on the anaerobic capacity and neuromuscular power systems, but also includes high volume and high weekly TSS values.
