Plan Description
This program is an eight week plan designed to get you into race shape fast! Now there will still be a lot of work that needs to be done during the season that these workouts won't incorporate, but you can still use them to maintain fitness.
Crit racing requires a significant amount of leg speed but cadence isn't the only variable. You MUST be able to maintain a high cadence while your muscles are under a high amount of tension. You must also be capable of rapidly adjusting your speed, and accelerating out of corners, responding to attacks, and sprinting to the finish. This requires a high amount of specialized training, which will be provided in this plan.
Now having the fitness is only one part of the equation as well. You need to have the mental fortitude and clarity to win at this sport.
