Our six week Wintertime Intensity Plan is athlete inspired and expert coach designed. The 1 hour workouts are designed & optimized for indoor training with smartTrainers and Zwift although they may be performed outdoors too. This plan features 5 progressive workouts with just the right amount of anaerobic intensity to compliment your sweet spot base training. As described in this training tip here. If you are in the second half to final third of you aerobic endurance training and are seeking some workouts for your smartTrainer for motivation look no further. This plan is the perfect compliment to sweet spot parts 2 & 3 for when you can't do your long rides outside and want to use the ERG mode on Zwift. See the example 2 week calendar for what you will and won't be doing. Each workout packs a punch: one high quality variable power ERG and smartTrainer compatible with TrainingPeaks workout export feature. Follow this plan as is or use the workouts to compliment your longer outdoor training plan in the event of poor weather or lack of daylight.
