TRAINING TIPS
• 📆 Build a consistent weekly routine.
• 🌧️ Train indoors if the weather prevents outdoor riding.
• 🟢 Easy rides should feel genuinely easy.
• ⛰️ Complete long climbs at a smooth, sustainable effort.
• 🍌 Practise your nutrition and hydration strategy on long rides.
• 👥 Ride with others when it doesn't compromise the planned workout.
• 🎯 Don't neglect your longest endurance sessions—they are the key preparation.
• 💬 One poor workout won't define your fitness.
• 📈 Start each session controlled, build steadily and finish strong.
• 😴 If fatigue accumulates, replace a hard session with an easy ride or take a rest day.
EVERESTING ADVICE
• ⛰️ Choose a climb with a steady gradient and minimal interruptions.
• 🔁 Practise repeated climbing and descending during training.
• 🍌 Eat and drink from the very beginning—don't wait until you're hungry.
• 🧥 Prepare for changing weather, especially overnight if your attempt is long.
• 🔧 Carry spare tubes, tools, lights and fully charged electronics.
• 📱 Carry a fully charged phone, identification and a payment card or cash.
• 🐢 Start more conservatively than you think—you'll need energy for the final hours.
• 🧠 Break the challenge into manageable sections rather than focusing on the full elevation.
