La importancia de la cantidad de energía almacenada por encima del umbral de potencia funcional (FTP) es crucial en el rendimiento ciclista. ¿Cuántos ataques y a qué intensidad podré realizar en un puerto para dejar atrás a mis rivales? ¿Cuánto tiempo podré aguantar un determinado ritmo por encima de mi FTP para evitar ser “cazado” por el grupo? Esta información es de vital importancia tanto para el ciclista como para su preparador.
