“Achieve Peak Road Race Form in 6 Weeks with Specific Proven Training!”
Training plan description: Do you have an important road race or races coming up but are unsure how to use your limited training time for maximum gains? This training plan is designed to make the best use of your limited time and improve the areas needed to achieve peak form for road racing. You will increase your V02 max, threshold power, and your ability to make repeated accelerations and recover fast. The plan incorporates the option to include group ride/s on weekends and indoor training.
The training focus for this plan is to prepare for high-intensity road races (or group rides) lasting 1.5-3 hours in duration. The first three weeks are about improving your engine with threshold and endurance-focused training. The final three weeks are about increasing your VO2 max and race simulation combined with recovery to achieve peak form. The first race or races are scheduled at the end of the plan on the weekend of week 6. Week 5 has also the option to include racing on the weekend.
The training plan is designed for Power and is designed in the Workout Builder format which provides your personalized power zones in each training session which are calculated automatically from your Threshold number inputted under settings. Additional benefits of the Workout Builder format include direct training session sync to your Garmin or Wahoo device and training session upload to Zwift, TrainingRoad, CycleOps and more.
