A structured, power-based plan designed to help you sustainably build your functional threshold power.
This plan is an 8-week build using proven methods to improve your FTP. The plan begins with an FTP test and ends with an FTP test so you can measure your progress across the program. The plan features a variety of workouts to keep the training engaging and interesting, while still effectively building your functional threshold power. This plan's for you if you want to improve your FTP or if you have a short duration event (such as a 10-mile time trial) planned for towards the end of the program.
-Structured power-based workouts.
-Each workout is described clearly and is coupled with a description as to its purpose for training adaptations.
-Progressive TSS build towards the culmination of the plan, designed for you to peak in the final week.
-All workouts designed for power meter users (HR not supported).
-All workouts are exportable (to your Wahoo, Garmin, Zwift, Trainer Road etc.).
-Improve functional threshold power through proven methods.
-Provide varied workouts that help you maintain enthusiasm for training.
-Build a strong base for you to continue benefitting from even after the plan has ended.
-Unlimited athlete-initiated Q&A through e-mail contact with advice also available on strength training.
1. Make sure to complete the FTP test at the start of the plan and to update your FTP in TrainingPeaks.
2. If your weekend bunch rides are usually on Sundays then feel free to switch Saturday and Sunday around, they're interchangeable.
