Plan Description
This 7 week training plan is designed around an athlete performing for all three events or single events within USAC Endurance Nationals in Roanoke VA and can be customized up or down based on performance objectives, athlete history, or volume needs/limitations.
The plan is intended to tune up moderately trained athletes for the punches and kicks of the Roanoke Valley while maintaining strength and durability for the long haul of a week of racing.
Including some strength workouts as well as a regular weekly rhythm the plan can be customized upon request and completed based on power or heart rate metrics.
Weekly Schedule Overview
Monday: Full Rest & Recovery
Tuesday: High-Intensity Intervals (VO2 Max / Anaerobic)
Wednesday: Endurance + Strength Training
Thursday: Threshold / Sweet Spot Intervals
Friday: Recovery Spin or Mobility
Saturday: Race Simulation / Long Technical Ride
Sunday: Long Aerobic Endurance
