Plan Description
This Transition Phase plan is designed for adult amateur Downhill riders (ages 18+) training 6–12 hours per week.
It focuses on full recovery after the race season while reintroducing foundational movement, mobility, and low-intensity aerobic work.
Sessions emphasize playful descending, braking feel, and line choice on mellow terrain or through shuttle / hike-a-bike access.
Bodyweight strength, mobility circuits, and general aerobic conditioning are used to restore balance and movement quality.
While not built directly in the calendar, mental training encourages reflection and goal setting for the upcoming season, while nutrition focuses on whole foods and hydration.
Riders should feel refreshed, motivated, and technically re-engaged before progressing into the Base Phase.
