Plan Description
Welcome to our Ultra MTB Marathon Training Plan.
We have been coaching many athletes who have tackled and conquered some the hardest MTB Ultra Marathon races in the world. Events like the Attakwas and Munga are two that get the imagination working over time.
This training plan is based on what we learned coaching athletes to deal with the demands of Ultra Endurance MTB events.
This 15-week Training Plan is ideal for the period directly before your race and includes a taper period and will bring you to the start of your race ready to be a conqueror.
This Training Plan is build around a 8 - 12 hour week and focus on the demands of an MTB Ultra Marathon event..
For best results you would need a “smart” indoor trainer, or a power meter on your bike. Structured workouts are power based and endurance rides heart rate based.
This Training Plan is aimed at intermediate to competitive racers.
