Plan Description
This 18 weeks training plan is for the intermediate rider that wish to prepare for a 3-day mountain bike stage race.
The weekly workouts are for an indoor trainer, in power, and your weekend endurance rides are in heart rate.
The place starts off easy in the first month, and then the duration and intensity of the workouts increase.
Every 4th week is a recovery week. The training duration varies from 6 hour weeks, to the longest weeks of 12 hours, with two recovery days per week.
A two week taper in the training plan insures that you are fresh and fast on race day.
