Plan Description
This plan is designed for a rider who is looking to complete the Leadville 100 MTB. You know you have the grit and determination to finish this race and you want to give yourself an edge with some race specific prep to get you to the finish.
Note, there are two versions of this plan. This plan is based on Rate of Perceived Effort. The workouts include written instructions and blocked workout programming graphics to visually illustrate the structure of the workout. Included on Day 1 of your training plan, you will find a PDF document that includes a detailed explanation of Rate of Perceived Effort and how to train with RPE. If you have a power meter on your bike, purchase the power-based version of this plan.
This program is designed around a Monday rest day. If that works for your schedule, start Day 1 on a Monday. If you would like a Sunday rest day, start the plan on a Sunday. This plan includes three or four days of training per week. If you would like additional days of training, add an easy recovery spin on one of the scheduled days off.
