This MTB marathon training plan is designed for endurance-focused athletes preparing for long-distance mountain bike races. It is ideal for intermediate to advanced riders who are committed to following a structured program with weekly training volumes ranging from 13 to 15 hours. This plan is self-guided—athletes are expected to complete the prescribed sessions independently, with no direct coaching communication included. To get the most out of this plan, athletes should have a power meter or heart rate monitor, GPS-enabled cycling computer, and access to varied terrain including long climbs and technical trails.
