Plan Description


Climbing, Descending, Solo Endurance, Race Speed; Your Best Ever!



This plan is for the Mountain Biker training to race cross country and ultra endurance. Road and Gravel Bike days are part of the plan. Some workouts are specific to using a Smart trainer on Zwift, RGT, or similar. Of course many workouts are mtb specific, on the trails!

Your plan includes a Coaching Consultation before, after, or during your training plan. A consultation is a 60-75 minute phone call or Zoom/Skype call. We can do 1 call or 2 x 30ish minute calls.
You share your Training Peaks data to my coach account temporarily. We use the data to determine your current fitness, look for items that may be limiting your development, a game plan and more. Gather your list of questions, thoughts, discussion topics and goals. Let's make the best use of your time.

This is a 12 week plan. This training plan will develop your power, repeat-ability, force, climbing and ultra endurance. The plan is great to build overall fitness, benefiting all types of racing. This 12 week plan includes a Race Taper in weeks 11 and 12.

How to prepare for this plan?

• You should already have a good base fitness, ability to ride 2+ hours.

• The plan requires 5 days per week of training. Stay disciplined and committed to gain the benefits of this plan.

• The workouts can be indoors on a Smart Trainer or Outdoors Using Road, Gravel and/or Mountain Bike.

• This is a power based plan. A bicycle power meter (pedals, crank, etc.) or power data from your Smart Trainer is needed.
