Plan Description
You dream to do an Ultra MTB event without aspiration to win it, but just to complete it. If this is you, this Training Plan is for you.
The Ultra MTB Prep training plan is build around a 3-week cycle, i.e. 2 weeks of work and 1 week recovery.
There is 5 training days per week and the biggest week is just over 12 hours with the average around 9 hours/week
All weekend endurance rides are based on Heart Rate with a high focus to stay in Heart Rate Zone 2 to develop your aerobic capacity as effectively as possible.
All mid-week workouts are designed to be done on an indoor "smart" trainer and the workouts are power based.
The training plan start with a Ramp test to determine your threshold and subsequent training zones.
The Training Plan also include strength and condition workouts with video support as well as stretching and foam roller support.
