Build the one quality that decides every long ride: durability, the ability to hold real power late when everyone around you is fading. This twelve week block plan trains fatigue resistance directly on 9 to 12 hours a week, fully Zwift and indoor trainer compatible.
WHO IT IS FOR: Endurance and gran fondo riders, ultra and long distance cyclists, and anyone who fades in the final hour and wants to fix it. You should be comfortable riding three hours and ready to build toward five.
HOW IT PROGRESSES: A base block, a big durability build block, and a peak and sharpen block, split by two recovery weeks. Long rides grow from three hours to a five hour power after four hours centrepiece, with quality efforts placed late, back to back weekend days, and carefully framed optional train low rides. It finishes with a taper and an FTP retest on day 84.
WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT: This is the modern fatigue resistance approach, threshold and tempo efforts deliberately placed after two to four hours of riding, so you train the exact skill that wins long events, not just fresh legged FTP. Every ride carries a six part coaching description, a pre ride fuelling and pacing cue, and a verified sports science reference.
WHAT TO EXPECT EACH WEEK: Four to five rides, one or two quality durability sessions, a progressive long ride with late efforts, and a back to back easy day, all with honest fuelling practice at 60 to 90g carbs per hour. Set an FTP from day one and the whole plan scales to you.
