8-WEEK FTP BOOSTER TRAINING PLAN
Raise your FTP and ride stronger at threshold. This 8-week FTP booster plan is built to lift your functional threshold power — the single number that defines your sustainable speed — through progressive sweet spot and threshold training.
WHO IT'S FOR
Intermediate and competitive cyclists and triathletes who want a higher FTP, better sustained power and a stronger engine for climbs, breakaways and time trials. Fully indoor- and Zwift-compatible; every session is built around your FTP, so it works on any smart trainer.
WHAT YOU'LL GAIN
A higher, more durable threshold, improved muscular endurance, and the confidence to hold hard efforts for longer. You spend focused time in the sweet spot and at threshold — the most time-efficient way to grow sustainable power.
HOW IT WORKS
Five rides a week across roughly 6 to 8 hours, with two rest days. Sweet spot and threshold intervals build in duration and intensity through the block, supported by endurance and recovery rides. A recovery week consolidates the gains and a final test measures your new FTP.
WHAT YOU NEED
A smart trainer or power meter and a current FTP. Every workout is fully structured and downloads straight to your head unit or Zwift.
