Plan Description

PART TWO of a 12 week global Training Plan to boost all aspect of your cycling abilities ahead of your peak cycling season.

*If you haven't done part one, shame on you! No joking aside, I would highly suggest to plan a FTP Test the weekend prior to this plan*

Now that we have build time at threshold during part one of our training. It's time now to work above your FTP. VO2 and FRC efforts are the bread and butter of this phase with the aim to trigger FTP pulling.

This cycling plan was designed using the core structure from the preparation I've done leading to different events such as the UCI Cycling eSport World Championships or Zwift Academy finals but also a Haute Route and numerous local CX seasons. The goal of this plan is to build a well balanced power profile and get you race ready for your next Zwift season and/or IRL event(s).

This plan is intended for the cyclist who has already a bit of experience using a power-based training plan and is best started about 12 weeks ahead your next goal. Northern Hemisphere's Summer is perfect to follow this plan if your goal is to be ready for peak Zwift Racing season.

Finally, be aware this plan is called "Global preparation" on purpose. If you want to peak a single event with specific demands, you should definitely consider adding another mesocycle with targeted workouts to be at your best on D-day.
