Is This Plan For You?
This 32-week 100K / 60 Mile Cycling & Gran Fondo Beginner plan by GA Endurance is designed for developing cyclists who want a gradual, structured route toward the aerobic durability, technical control, and fueling habits required for a long-distance cycling event.
It is best suited to athletes who ride consistently, can complete a comfortable 90–120 minute aerobic ride, and can train 4 days per week. The plan uses a progressive three-weeks-loading, one-week-recovery rhythm, with the opening phase focused on easy aerobic riding, cadence, position, and pedal technique.
What You Can Expect
- Structured power-based cycling sessions for road or trainer
- A gradual progression from easy aerobic riding and technical skills to controlled event-specific endurance
- Long rides that build duration while teaching pacing, fueling, hydration, and comfort
- Regular FTP testing and clearly protected recovery weeks
- Beginner-appropriate structured strength sessions for durability and movement quality
- A controlled peak and taper toward the 100K / 60 Mile target event
