Is This Plan For You?
This 12-week 100K / 60 Mile Cycling & Gran Fondo Intermediate plan by GA Endurance is designed for consistent cyclists who want to build the aerobic durability, sustainable power, technical control, and fueling discipline required for a long-distance cycling event.
It is best suited to athletes who already ride regularly, can complete a controlled 2–3 hour endurance ride, and can train 5 days per week. The plan uses a progressive three-weeks-loading, one-week-recovery rhythm, with the opening phase focused on aerobic base and technique.
What You Can Expect
- Structured power-based cycling sessions for road or trainer
- Aerobic base, cadence, pedal technique, muscular endurance, tempo, threshold, and event-specific endurance development
- Progressive long rides with pacing, fueling, hydration, and position-control practice
- Regular FTP testing and planned recovery weeks
- Structured strength sessions that support cycling durability and injury resilience
- A controlled peak and taper toward the 100K / 60 Mile target event
