Is This Program Right for You?
GA Endurance created this 20-week 30K / 20 Mile Cycling & Gran Fondo Intermediate Preparation / Maintenance plan for cyclists who want a structured general preparation block rather than a plan that ends at a target race.
This plan is suitable for athletes who want to maintain or rebuild aerobic consistency, improve pedaling economy, support durability with strength work, and prepare for a future 30K / 20 mile cycling or Gran Fondo goal without entering a race-specific peak yet.
What to Expect
• Easy aerobic riding, cadence control and technical reinforcement
• A base-period structure focused on sustainable consistency rather than race tapering
• Strength training that supports posture, hip stability and general cycling durability
• Recovery weeks that keep fatigue controlled while preserving routine
• Road and trainer execution options with clear session goals
• General preparation that can lead into a more specific 30K plan later
Coaching and Support
Every workout includes the session goal, intensity guidance, execution details and recovery notes. If you need help with plan setup, training zones or TrainingPeaks usage, contact the GA Endurance team at coachsupport@gaendurance.com.
Starting Requirements
Before starting this plan, we recommend that you can ride comfortably at an Easy aerobic effort, train consistently several days per week, and perform basic strength movements with safe technique. A bike computer, heart rate monitor, power meter or smart trainer can improve workout execution, but consistent perceived-effort control is also useful.
Final Note
This 20-week plan is a preparation / maintenance block. It does not end with a target race; instead, it builds the aerobic rhythm, technical quality and strength support needed before moving into a more specific 30K / 20 mile goal plan.
