The first qualifier of the 2027 cycle. The Leuven field will not be casual.
Most categories race 132 kilometres with approximately 880 metres of climbing through the Brabantse Wouden, where the organizer describes rolling terrain, punchy climbs, and gravel sectors arriving in quick succession. The final route is still pending, but the competitive demand is clear: hold Belgian group speed cheaply, close gaps without panic, and keep producing accelerations after hours of racing. This twelve-week Compete plan builds sustained speed, repeatable surges, long-ride durability, and race-week freshness for riders chasing the top 25 percent in their category.

Hey, I'm Matti. I spent 11 years at TrainingPeaks, where they trusted me to teach coaches how to coach at TrainingPeaks University. I raced Amateur Elite with Rio Grande Cycling Team and podiumed my age group at Unbound 200 in 2026. I have a degree in biology and exercise physiology from St. Olaf. I'm also a middle-aged dad of three, so I know training doesn't happen in a vacuum. I help gravel riders get stupidly fast without becoming the person who brings a food scale to a party
