The organizer announces Homegrown Gravel Adventure for February 26–28, 2027 and schedules every race on Saturday, placing the 100-mile race on February 27. Its linked distance page publishes 8,500 feet of climbing, 70% gravel-to-pavé, a 23% maximum gradient, and roughly 40 mixed-surface segments.
This twelve-week Masters plan spaces the hard climbing days for absorption, adds recovery, and preserves enough handling, fueling, and durability work to stay composed late in the century. The goal is durable power without borrowing freshness from race week.

Hey, I'm Matti. I spent 11 years at TrainingPeaks, where they trusted me to teach coaches how to coach at TrainingPeaks University. I raced Amateur Elite with Rio Grande Cycling Team and podiumed my age group at Unbound 200 in 2026. I have a degree in biology and exercise physiology from St. Olaf. I'm also a middle-aged dad of three, so I know training doesn't happen in a vacuum. I help gravel riders get stupidly fast without becoming the person who brings a food scale to a party
