The MAAP Beechworth Granite Classic is 71 miles with about 4,600 feet of climbing on gravel roads and forest tracks through the Victorian high country. The climbing begins in earnest around mile 30, and the terrain turns technical and sustained through the high country grind near mile 60. Conditions can range from cool to warm depending on the season.
This is a twelve-week plan built around the hours you can give it, seven to eleven a week. Most of the work goes toward riding on tired legs and handling technical terrain late in a long day, because the demand here is climbing and rough tracks that keep coming after mile 60.

Hey! I'm Matti - also known as the Gravel God himself!
If you're into gravel racing and want to be as fast as possible, you had better choose me!
Why?
Because I'm the fastest, least talented person to ever ride a bike. I've made every mistake in the book so you don't have to and I'm here to save you years of failure and struggle.
When I'm not helping my athletes get faster on a bike I write obvious, overlooked training content that makes cycling training easy to understand.
