A RIDE, NOT A RACE — La Résistance is a ride, not a race, and its next edition is unconfirmed. The Alpine gravel it covers demands real preparation either way.
French Alpine gravel, scenic but regional
From Talloires, La Résistance mixes French Alpine gravel with the long climbs of the Col des Glières and Col de l'Arpettaz.
With 7 to 11 hours each week, this eight-week plan builds the endurance and sustained climbing power needed for long Alpine cols and gravel sectors. Longer rides develop steady pacing on steep grades, while gravel practice prepares you to handle rough surfaces when tired.
INSIDE THE FINISHER PLAN — 7–11 HR/WK
Includes zone-tailored structured rides for your devices, built-in strength with video walkthroughs, heat protocols for when your race calls for them, peloton skills workouts, weekly coach notes + the Gravel Grit mental program, and nutrition and hydration guidance.

The Complete La Résistance Guide — the training, the tactics, the gear and race day, explained simply and clearly: what to do, when to do it, and why it works.

Hey! I'm Matti - also known as the Gravel God himself!
If you're into gravel racing and want to be as fast as possible, you had better choose me!
Why?
Because I'm the fastest, least talented person to ever ride a bike. I've made every mistake in the book so you don't have to and I'm here to save you years of failure and struggle.
When I'm not helping my athletes get faster on a bike I write obvious, overlooked training content that makes cycling training easy to understand.
