The Filthy 50 is 50 miles with about 2,000 feet of climbing on rolling roads that are mostly gravel with some dirt, through northern Minnesota’s lakes country in early October. Expect fall conditions in the 40s to 60s with a chance of rain.
This is a twelve-week plan for riders who can already put in long weekend rides but haven’t built specifically toward fifty miles of rolling gravel. Most of the work sits in that seven-to-eleven-hour band, aimed at steady time on gravel and rolling roads, because the demand here is repeated climbing over the distance rather than any single hard effort.
50 MI · 2,000 FT CLIMBING · 80% GRAVEL, 20% DIRT ROADS · 12 WEEKS · 7–11 HR/WK · FINISHER

Hey! I'm Matti - also known as the Gravel God himself!
If you're into gravel racing and want to be as fast as possible, you had better choose me!
Why?
Because I'm the fastest, least talented person to ever ride a bike. I've made every mistake in the book so you don't have to and I'm here to save you years of failure and struggle.
When I'm not helping my athletes get faster on a bike I write obvious, overlooked training content that makes cycling training easy to understand.
