Finnish Gravel is 110 miles with about 2,100 feet of climbing near Lahti, on a mix of gravel roads, tarmac, and Nordic ski paths, with some loose stony gravel on the hills. It runs in August, when highs sit around 70F, rain showers are possible, and the near-24-hour daylight means sunset comes after 11 PM.
This is an eight-week plan for riders training four to six hours a week against a job and a family. Most of the limited hours go toward steady endurance and riding the loose stony gravel, because the demand here is holding a long day together on mixed surfaces rather than any single hard effort.

Hey! I'm Matti - also known as the Gravel God himself!
If you're into gravel racing and want to be as fast as possible, you had better choose me!
Why?
Because I'm the fastest, least talented person to ever ride a bike. I've made every mistake in the book so you don't have to and I'm here to save you years of failure and struggle.
When I'm not helping my athletes get faster on a bike I write obvious, overlooked training content that makes cycling training easy to understand.
