Vermont Overland is 54 miles with about 7,000 feet of climbing, run mostly on gravel and dirt roads that include seven sectors of rough, unmaintained “Vermont pavĂ©.” The climbing is near-constant over that distance, and the surface earns a technical rating of four out of five.
This is an eight-week plan for riders who can already spend a long day on the bike but want to be ready for what those 7,000 feet and rough sectors ask over 54 miles. It builds around the hours you actually have, with most of the work aimed at repeated climbing and time on loose, technical surfaces.
54 MI · 7,000 FT CLIMBING · 60% GRAVEL, 30% DIRT ROADS, 10% PAVEMENT · 8 WEEKS · 7–11 HR/WK · FINISHER

Hey! I'm Matti - also known as the Gravel God himself!
If you're into gravel racing and want to be as fast as possible, you had better choose me!
Why?
Because I'm the fastest, least talented person to ever ride a bike. I've made every mistake in the book so you don't have to and I'm here to save you years of failure and struggle.
When I'm not helping my athletes get faster on a bike I write obvious, overlooked training content that makes cycling training easy to understand.
