Gravel Brazil is 70 miles with about 5,800 feet of climbing through Brazilian coastal mountains, 90 percent of it on gravel, with technical descents on loose surfaces and late-summer March conditions that can reach 30°C.
This is a six-week plan for riders whose entry is paid and whose weeks are short. Six weeks won’t build the climbing base this course rewards from scratch, but it’s enough to prioritize the repeated climbing and the technical descending, and to get you to the start with a realistic plan for the distance and the heat.

Hey, I'm Matti. I spent 11 years at TrainingPeaks, where they trusted me to teach coaches how to coach at TrainingPeaks University. I raced Amateur Elite with Rio Grande Cycling Team and podiumed my age group at Unbound 200 in 2026. I have a degree in biology and exercise physiology from St. Olaf. I'm also a middle-aged dad of three, so I know training doesn't happen in a vacuum. I help gravel riders get stupidly fast without becoming the person who brings a food scale to a party
