Le Grand du Nord is 110 miles on mostly gravel and dirt forest roads, about 5,000 feet of climbing spread across constant rolling terrain, with a stretch of technical doubletrack. Temperatures stay cool near Lake Superior, and in the spring wet season rain is possible.
This is a twelve-week plan for riders working with four to six hours a week. Most of the limited hours go toward the constant rolling terrain and the sustained distance, because 110 miles of repeated climbing on gravel asks for a base built in the time you actually have.
110 MI · 5,000 FT CLIMBING · 70% GRAVEL/DIRT FOREST ROADS, 20% PAVED, 10% TECHNICAL · 12 WEEKS · 4–6 HR/WK · TIME-CRUNCHED

Hey! I'm Matti - also known as the Gravel God himself!
If you're into gravel racing and want to be as fast as possible, you had better choose me!
Why?
Because I'm the fastest, least talented person to ever ride a bike. I've made every mistake in the book so you don't have to and I'm here to save you years of failure and struggle.
When I'm not helping my athletes get faster on a bike I write obvious, overlooked training content that makes cycling training easy to understand.
