SBT GRVL is 108 miles with about 8,000 feet of climbing on fast gravel, starting near 6,700 feet and averaging around 7,200 feet, with timed cutoffs at miles 20 and 37 that can redirect you to a shorter course. The altitude is the race’s demand, not something a plan can hand you.
This is an eight-week plan for riders working with four to six hours a week, so the limited hours go toward the fitness that carries 108 miles of climbing and the pace those early cutoffs demand. Most rides are focused sessions rather than long easy volume, because the time you have is short and the distance is long.

Hey! I'm Matti - also known as the Gravel God himself!
If you're into gravel racing and want to be as fast as possible, you had better choose me!
Why?
Because I'm the fastest, least talented person to ever ride a bike. I've made every mistake in the book so you don't have to and I'm here to save you years of failure and struggle.
When I'm not helping my athletes get faster on a bike I write obvious, overlooked training content that makes cycling training easy to understand.
