SBT GRVL is 108 miles with about 8,000 feet of climbing on fast gravel, starting near 6,700 feet and averaging around 7,200 feet, with timed cutoffs at miles 20 and 37 that can redirect you to a shorter course. The altitude is the race’s demand, not something a plan can hand you.
This is an eight-week plan built around the hours you actually have, most of the work aimed at riding steadily on tired legs across a long, climbing-heavy day. The limited hours go toward the repeated climbing and the fast gravel, because getting to the mile-20 and mile-37 cutoffs and holding your effort past them is what the day asks of you.

Hey! I'm Matti - also known as the Gravel God himself!
If you're into gravel racing and want to be as fast as possible, you had better choose me!
Why?
Because I'm the fastest, least talented person to ever ride a bike. I've made every mistake in the book so you don't have to and I'm here to save you years of failure and struggle.
When I'm not helping my athletes get faster on a bike I write obvious, overlooked training content that makes cycling training easy to understand.
