The Crusher is 69 miles with about 10,000 feet of climbing packed into them, from a 5,900-foot start in Beaver up to a finish at 10,500 feet on Eagle Point. It climbs both paved grades and rough dirt, and the final drag to the line is the highest, thinnest air of the day.
This is a twelve-week plan for that climbing and that altitude, built around the hours you have to train. Most of the work is sustained climbing and holding power as the air thins toward the top — the two things the Crusher asks for that rides near sea level can’t build.
69 MI · 10,000 FT CLIMBING · 5.9–10.5K FT ALTITUDE, PAVED + DIRT · 12 WEEKS · 7–11 HR/WK · FINISHER

Hey! I'm Matti - also known as the Gravel God himself!
If you're into gravel racing and want to be as fast as possible, you had better choose me!
Why?
Because I'm the fastest, least talented person to ever ride a bike. I've made every mistake in the book so you don't have to and I'm here to save you years of failure and struggle.
When I'm not helping my athletes get faster on a bike I write obvious, overlooked training content that makes cycling training easy to understand.
