The Rad Dirt Fest is 113 miles with about 10,600 feet of climbing on over 90% maintained gravel, starting at 6,000 feet and averaging 6,800. The main selection comes on a long climb to 9,000 feet with grades reaching 18 percent, where high-desert sun and altitude make the heat part of the effort.
This is an eight-week plan for riders who already ride long but haven’t built for a day like this one, shaped around the seven to eleven hours a week you can give it. Most of the work is climbing on tired legs at effort, because the altitude and the long climb ask more than distance alone.
113 MI · 10,613 FT CLIMBING · ~6.8K FT ALTITUDE · 8 WEEKS · 7–11 HR/WK · FINISHER

Hey! I'm Matti - also known as the Gravel God himself!
If you're into gravel racing and want to be as fast as possible, you had better choose me!
Why?
Because I'm the fastest, least talented person to ever ride a bike. I've made every mistake in the book so you don't have to and I'm here to save you years of failure and struggle.
When I'm not helping my athletes get faster on a bike I write obvious, overlooked training content that makes cycling training easy to understand.
