Conquer 8848 metres of ascent in a single ride. This 8 week plan builds the repeatable sweet-spot climbing power, low-cadence torque, climbing durability and mental stamina an Everesting attempt demands, on 7 to 8 hours a week.
WHO IT IS FOR: Riders chasing an Everesting, an Everesting-style repeated-hill challenge, or any monster single-day climbing effort, who can train around 7 to 8 hours a week. Every ride is Zwift and indoor friendly, ideal for holding a precise, repeatable climbing power.
HOW IT PROGRESSES: Day one is an FTP test to calibrate your climbing zones. From there you build sweet-spot and sustained climbs, big-gear torque for the grind, and progressively bigger repeated-climb long rides. Week four is recovery, week six is a full dress rehearsal of seven long climbs on your real fuelling, and the final two weeks taper so you start your attempt fresh.
WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT: This is built for the specific demand of climbing the same hill again and again for hours. Repeatable sub-threshold climbing power, low-cadence strength, climb-and-descend long rides, pacing a massive climbing effort, and fuelling a very long day. Every ride carries a plain-English coaching brief and a link to the sport science behind it.
WHAT TO EXPECT EACH WEEK: Around 7 to 8 hours across five or six rides, anchored by a Saturday repeated-climb long ride and a Sunday endurance backup on tired legs. Weekly notes set the theme, hours and focus, and flag the key sessions. The plan finishes on attempt day with a full game plan for pacing, fuelling and mindset.
