Train for your Zwift races with a structured 8 week plan built for time-crunched riders with 5 to 7 hours a week. Every session is 45 to 75 minutes and built for the indoor, no-coasting reality of e-racing: savage hard starts, punchy surges to hold a wheel, supra-threshold responses to attacks, and short race simulations that rehearse the whole thing. Fully Zwift and indoor compatible with power targets throughout.
WHO IT IS FOR. Time-crunched cyclists who race on Zwift or other indoor platforms, with a smart trainer or power meter, training 5 to 7 hours per week in sessions no longer than 75 minutes. It suits riders who want to sharpen the specific qualities that decide an e-crit: the hard start, the repeatable surge, and the sprint finish.
HOW IT PROGRESSES. Day one is an FTP test that calibrates every target. Weeks 1 to 3 build hard-start efforts, punchy surges and VO2 top-end, week 4 is recovery, weeks 5 and 6 extend into longer e-race simulations and peak your form, week 7 sharpens, and week 8 tapers into your event on the final day. The last day is your race, not a test.
WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT. Every session is a genuinely distinct, creative design, no two the same across eight weeks, each built on the real demands of indoor virtual racing where you never coast. Every ride carries a six part description and a verified academic citation, so you always know what the session trains and why. Weekend e-race simulations rehearse the exact shape of a Zwift crit.
WHAT TO EXPECT EACH WEEK. Two to three short quality sessions, a weekend e-race simulation, and short aerobic rides that build the engine that recovers you between surges. Weekly notes guide each block, a full taper delivers race-day freshness, and an EVENT DAY game plan sets you up to hold the front, use your power-ups, and time your finish.
