Train for a multi day stage race with a structured 8 week plan built for riders with 8 to 10 hours a week. This is the complete preparation for racing hard on consecutive days, building the day to day repeatability, threshold and tempo durability, punchy climbing and fast refuelling that let you back up stage after stage. Every ride is Zwift and indoor trainer compatible, with power targets in percent of FTP so it scales precisely to you.
WHO IT IS FOR. Amateur and enthusiast cyclists preparing for a stage race, multi day tour or any event with hard efforts on back to back days. If you can train eight to ten hours a week and want to arrive able to race day one and back it up on day two and beyond, this plan is built for you. Suitable for indoor or outdoor riders.
HOW IT PROGRESSES. Volume builds around 9 hours through a clear ladder, with a recovery week to absorb the load, then peaks near 10 hours including a full dress rehearsal weekend double, before a sharpening week and a race week taper. Day one is an FTP test and the final day is your race. The signature is the weekend double, a hard stage Saturday backed up by a second stage Sunday on tired legs.
WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT. Genuinely stage race specific. Back to back weekend blocks that build cumulative fatigue resistance, threshold and tempo repeatability day after day, over unders and punchy climbs for repeated selections, TT efforts for prologues and solo moves, and a deliberate emphasis on fast refuelling between stages. Every ride carries a distinct creative structure and a verified sports science citation.
WHAT TO EXPECT EACH WEEK. Tuesday and Thursday quality that never repeats, Wednesday undulating endurance, Friday recovery, and the weekend double of a hard stage simulation Saturday and a second stage Sunday on fatigue. Weekly notes guide the theme, fuelling and recovery, and the plan finishes with a full stage race day game plan.
