Plan Description
Let’s be honest. If your event is getting close and you are currently managing two or three rides a week, panic training is not the answer.
This 6-week cycling plan is built for riders preparing for a sportive, charity ride, cycling holiday, Gran Fondo, club event or summer challenge who want clear structure without committing to full coaching.
Six weeks is not magic. It will not replace a full winter base or pretend there is a secret shortcut hiding in your turbo trainer. But with the right structure, six weeks is enough time to make a real difference.
The plan uses a sensible mix of endurance rides, controlled intensity, recovery and event-specific preparation. Some rides build fitness, some sharpen your ability to work harder when needed, and some deliberately feel easier because recovery is part of getting fitter.
Best for riders who already cycle a little, can usually train two to four times per week, and want to stop guessing.
No miracle promises. No random smash-fests. Just a clear, practical plan for riders who have left it a bit late, but not too late.
