Plan Description
Classical 12 week training plan, following 4 week mesocycle (blocks) structure. Where first three weeks build up over volume and intensity into a fourth recovery week. Plan follows a base block, build block and sharpening block aimed at developing a balance of aerobic and anaerobic capacity required for general road riding and racing. This plan suits recreational to amatuer riders, looking to improve their fitness in general or build up towards a specific event such as Gran Fondo! The plan allows for 7-10hrs of training a week excluding any additional strength/mobility work. The workouts are based on the latest science, including high-torque interval training and specific sessions for improving VO2max.
