Plan Description
This program is designed for individuals who are training for the Day of the Tread 100 mile road event.
It is designed for athletes that use a heart rate monitor and relative perceived exertion assessment of the efforts in their training. The plan has 9 to 11 hours per week of training activity that is focused around a long weekend ride (2.5-5 hours) and 2 weekday interval based sessions that are 90 minutes in duration. The weekday sessions are conducive to completion on an indoor trainer or on an outdoor ride session.
Using a combination of Tempo, threshold , and VO2Max training, athletes will reach new highs with their training.This plan is advantageous for any athlete looking to improve their aerobic engine and increase their FTP while preparing for the Day of the Tread road event.
