Plan Description

This aims to prepare you to peak right for Unbound 200 Gravel. This plan should be done after the base training and offseason plan and you should start with in April. The training focus now shifts toward very specific sessions with a very high volume, and tapering.
As a result, the goal is to improve economy and fat-burning capabilities, while concentrating the training load on key sessions to maximize adaptation. Similar to my block periodization plans, this plan emphasises a block overload with volume as done in the Rønnestad study. You will notice, however, that the specific sessions are filled with useful content that gives you a new perspective on endurance training.
Packed with optimized combinations of training sessions the peak plan will transform your performance bit by bit.
This plan also takes a participation at Gravel Locos into account.

As always, the plan is simple to follow and combines science with results-proven practice.
