Plan Description
This 12-week training plan is aimed at preparing a rider for the demands of a cyclo-cross season. Picking up where Cross is the Boss #1 left off, the workouts in this plan increase in specificity and intensity as race season gets closer.
Bike workouts focus on building power and repeatability at and above threshold, while a variety of tempo, sweet spot tempo, and skills-focused rides make for a well-rounded build into the race season. {Rides are intended to be completed outside, but the majority of workouts have been programmed to be smart-trainer compatible, too.}
This plan includes specific off-the-bike workouts to help support your hard-working body throughout your training and racing season. This work is as important as your bike workouts, and short, follow-along videos make it easy to get it done: no excuses!
In order to get the most value from this plan, athletes should have 3+ months of quality riding in their legs. Training with a power meter is highly recommended, as workouts in this plan are programmed with power-based training zones.
