I began my athletic journey as a middle-distance runner at the age of 12, becoming a 10-time Belgian Champion and setting national records in every age category for the 800m and 1500m. A highlight of my early career was finishing 4th in the 1500m at the European Championships in Gothenburg.

At the age of 40, I transitioned into multisport disciplines, including duathlon, cycling, cyclocross, and road racing. I became World Champion MTB for Medical Professions, and completed prestigious stage races such as the Crocodile Trophy in Australia and the Cape Epic in South Africa (twice).

At 58, I returned to track and field, becoming Belgian Champion in the marathon (Masters category, 3h11') and Belgian Indoor Champion in the 800m.

In addition to my athletic achievements, I am an International and Olympic-level MTB coach, International Duathlon Coach, and Club Coach for Distance Runners.
