Coach Bio

I help athletes achieve their health and performance goals in road cycling, using scientific approach, taking into account each athlete’s unique physiology and goals. I’m a USA cycling Level 3 accredited coach, beside this I studied a lot of scientific papers and books about periodization, sports Physiology, interval training, recovery, nutrition and data analysis.
I’m also a med student and have a pretty good understanding of human physiology, anatomy and biochemistry.

My coaching Philosophy is based on importance of each athlete’s unique physiology and goals. If you choose to work with me here’s an example of what I might do: first we need to determine what you expect from training, what goals you would like to achieve. Second, we assess your current fitness across various durations, I will look at your history of training to get an understanding of loads you are able to handle. Then, we will determine your limiters and will work on improving them, using a progression rate that is optimal for you. We, then, will constantly vary loads to avoid stagnation. Training should be an exacerbation of one aspect of performance at a time. Thus, when one aspect of it stagnates, this might indicate that it is time to work on another, so that in the end when combined, peak performance is achieved.

Another part of my coaching philosophy is importance of receiving frequent subjective feedback form an athlete. Such information as feeling tired, demotivated, having troubles falling asleep, etc. isn’t any less important than power or heart rate and can help recognize early stages of overtraining and adjust training plan accordingly.
