I am Jason an experienced Sponsored Ultra athlete and coach from Sydney. I frequently travel. I have been coaching for over 10 years and have travelled the world competing in various running, OCR and adventure events. I have won some of these events and been quite successful as an athlete and coach.
I train many athletes from beginners to elite level many placing or winning their events and some just happy to complete their race. I offer face to face, online, teams, and corporate coaching
I grew up playing state level sports from the age of 8 and coached junior sports from the age of 17. I later in life studied biological science and then at the age of 24 enlisted into the special forces direct recruitment scheme in Australia. By the age of 25 I was a Commando in the Australian Army.
I later went through depression and PTSD after the death of my child while away on exercise. Years later it caught up with me and I eventually turned to fitness and running to redirect my energy and focus to better myself as a person. I qualified as a personal Trainer in 2010. In 2014 a year after recovering from a fractured pelvis, punctured lung, head trauma among other injuries I started travelling the world competing in 24 hour endurance events. I won the Australian Titles that same year for 24hr Obstacle course racing and that's where my love for endurance really took hold. Since then I have travelled the world competing in many events, more recently in 2018 my love for ultra running took me to a few magnificent destinations in a 4 month period where I competed in 5 Ultras, including the Himalayas where I won the 222km La ultra, Dubai Where I placed 2nd in the AL Marmoom 110km ultra and also Turkey, Hong Kong and SE Asia.
I believe that focusing on our fitness and health we can overcome all challenges we face in life, and our determination, grit, and integrity built through completing difficult events transfers across to all areas of life.
