Coach Bio

Trilife NYC is a New York City based triathlon racing team in existence for more than 10 years founded by Scott Willett and Ross Galitsky who have been in this sport for many years and have very impressive resumes including Ironman wins and triple-ironman finishes (as in 6.8 mile swim, 336 mile bike, 78.4 mile run races). They know how to program and manage an athlete from start to finish line, and have proven it by coaching hundreds (thousands?) of athletes over the last decade plus.

I'm a lifelong endurance athlete who sought a competitive and active lifestyle since I and my parents remember. I grew up playing many team sports, from tennis to soccer, skiing, wrestling, swimming, cycling and baseball, to name a few. Running, core, leg strength, agility, balance, aerobic & anaerobic capacity, hand-eye coordination and counter-moves were necessity and challenging skills.

I'm a 5 x full distance Ironman finisher including a 9:42 PR at Ironman Copenhagen 2015 which qualified me for the Ironman World Championships in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii that same year. It was an amazing but humbling experience. I've also completed about 15 IM 70.3 events, including several in the 4:40-something range, qualifying me for the IM 70.3 World Championships in 2016 (Mooloolaba, AUS) and 2017 (Chattanooga, TN).

My philosophy at Trilife NYC is to support Scott and Ross, and to understand and 'decode' the athlete, finding and striking a balance between the many life facets that try as we like, cannot be separated from our individualized journeys to our start or finish lines. I have a passion for data interpretation and using it to eek the most out of the sacrifices we all make to train. Time is more valuable that we appreciate. It has to be fun and fulfilling. Most of us collect reams of data, and most don't use it to its fullest potential. My goal ultimately is to raise the athlete's knowledge level and to allow smarter implementation of what you learn in training on race day.
