Although I dabbled in various sports when I was young, my true athletic journey began when I was in grad school. I was unhealthy and unsatisfied with my energy and fitness levels. On a whim, I signed up for a triathlon to challenge and motivate myself. I didn't know much about structured training, and didn't even know how to swim, but after training for and racing my first triathlon, I was hooked!
Since becoming a coach in 2013, I have worked with athletes of all experience levels to help them achieve their performance goals. I specialize in working with runners and multisport athletes who are motivated, and who enjoy the training process. I have also worked with a number of athletes recovering from injury, and have returned from long-term injury myself.
I take a highly personalized approach when working with my athletes. While I give each athlete the same high level of attention, no two plans look the same and no coaching relationship is exactly the same. I focus on getting to know the individual athlete, their needs, strengths, limiters and goals, and customize my coaching and the training plan to address those factors. In this way, I help each athlete prioritize the key training focuses in order to meet their highest athletic potential.
When I'm not coaching, you'll often see me training myself. I love being outdoors around the Seacoast of New Hampshire and training with friends, or pushing my 2 young daughters in a jog stroller that is bigger than I am!
