I provide coaching to all athletes at any level (beginner to competitive athlete), any age and for any distance. As a Physical Therapist, I can "coach" the injured athlete back to race shape as well as the uninjured athlete to a PR.
I provide group, individual and 1:1 private lessons for all 3 sports and strength training. With all of my athletes I emphasize an open line of communication and education. I want all my athletes to understand how to train smartly and safely while having fun.
As a High School and Collegiate swimmer, I turned to triathlons while completing my graduate studies at Grand Valley State University in Michigan for Physical Therapy. I started racing triathlons in Michigan and then moved to Louisiana and then Texas, where I am currently living and coaching. I have been a swim coach since High School, at various levels, and then started coaching triathletes for the swim leg. I recently received my USAT Level 1 coaching certification to further my education to assist my current clients in their training.
For the past 14 years, I have been a Physical Therapist working with injured athletes and have competed in a wide variety of race distances from sprint to the Florida Ironman in 2008 (11:34). I have raced Alcatraz in 2010, Age group Nationals for the Olympic Distance in 2011, Australia in 2009, and even swam the English Channel as a 4 man Relay Team in 2001. I have received USAT Age Group Honorable Mentions in 2005, 2006, 2008.
