I’m Matt Warnock, an endurance coach helping ambitious athletes get the very best out of the time they have. I work with triathletes, runners, cyclists and swimmers, creating fully personalised, adaptive training that fits real life — whether you’re a busy parent, shift worker, or someone who simply loves to train. My focus is smart, sustainable coaching that builds performance, health and long-term enjoyment, not shortcuts or generic plans.
I’m a professional endurance coach with more than a decade of experience coaching triathletes, runners, cyclists and swimmers of all levels — from everyday athletes balancing work and family life to AG competitors qualifying for Ironman and 70.3 World Champs.
My coaching philosophy is simple: athletes perform best when training fits their life. Some of my athletes train 6-8 hours a week, others train 15+. My role is to help each of them get the maximum possible return from whatever time, energy and motivation they bring. That means fully personalised planning, constant adaptation, and a strong focus on long-term consistency, health and enjoyment.
I design training around physiology, data and real-world constraints, but always with a human-first approach. Smart structure, clarity and accountability.Week by week, training evolves based on performance, recovery, stress, work, family and life.
Alongside coaching, I have a background in content strategy, technology and communications, which shapes how I educate, motivate and support athletes. I hold multiple coaching and fitness certifications, including British Triathlon, ESCI, Ironman University & IUSCA S&C.
As an athlete, I progressed from the back of the pack to qualifying for AG world champs while working full-time and raising a family. That journey deeply informs how I coach: ambitious, but realistic; driven, but sustainable.
